PAINT ENCHAMENT $

A paint enhancement is a machine applied paint sealant offering up to 12 months of protection. think of a wax on steroids. It'll hide minor imperfections while also protecting your vehicles paint from UV damage.

PAINT POLISHING

Often referred to as a 1-step correction; removes the appearance of light scratches and swirls marks most often caused by the local car wash. or poor drying techniques. This service refines the paint by about 30-50% depending on vehicle condition. Polishing is best used for restoring lost luster, not for heavy clear coat imperfection.

PAINT CORRECTION

Our two-step process is where an initial heavy cut compound is applied, followed by a polishing stage to refine the finish and restore the vehicle's shine. Pictured here is a before and after a 2-step correction on a heavily oxidized hood. Typically, this much damage requires a 3rd or 4th step. Deep scratches that go beyond the vehicle's clear coat will not be removed with a correction. That would require a repaint, bodywork, or clear coat respray. If you can feel it with your fingernail, it's beyond the clear coat and not something that can be fixed by service. 'Buffing' is often used when describing this level of correction.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

I HAVE A DEEP SCRATCH CAN YOU FIX IT?

Scratches that go beyond the clear coat require more than a cosmetic repair like paint correction. Deep scratches need a body shop to be fully repaired; however, we can greatly reduce the appearance of most scratches, and most customers are satisfied with the final results. In some cases, we can sand and add paint to reduce visibility, but upon close inspection it will always be noticeable that a paint touch-up was performed. Please note that if paint is necessary it is considered a paint repair and is an additional charge not standard.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT FROM A PAINT ENHANCEMENT?

A paint enhancement is an affordable option for customers with tired or swirled paint who don’t have the budget for a full correction or paint job. This service is machine-applied and removes about 10% of imperfections, while visually hiding up to 40% for up to 12 months. A paint enhancement is essentially a machine-applied paint sealant—think of a sealant as wax on steroids.

WILL A POLISH BE ENOUGHT O FIX MY PAINT?

This depends on how close to flawless you want your vehicle to be. Perfection isn’t truly achievable, but it’s what we aim for. A single-step polish typically removes about 30 to 50% of imperfections and will restore luster and add depth to your paint. We prefer to see the vehicle in person, so if you can stop in, please do. We offer a free assessment and can sometimes show you on the spot what a single-step polish versus a two-step correction will look like, so you know exactly what results you can realistically expect.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO POLISH MY VEHICLE?

A single-step polish can take anywhere from 3-6 hours on average. It'll depend on the amount of prep work needed and size of vehicle.

HOW COME SOME SHOPS TAKE DAYS FOR CORRECTION AND YOU DON'T?

We focus on high-quality, low-volume work, meaning we dedicate a skilled professional to your vehicle to ensure consistency and the ability to focus exclusively on your car without distractions. There is no need for days on end of paint correction, and there is no downtime like with a painting service. Clear coat is the only layer we can address during paint correction, and it is less than 3 mils thick, which is thinner than a Post-it note. Each pass with a polisher removes microscopic amounts of clear coat, so it is simply not safe to spend hours on any single spot because it can burn through the clear coat. Don’t buy into the smoke and mirrors meant to make you think a service is more valuable just because your vehicle sits in the bay longer. We are efficient at what we do, certified, and highly skilled.

CAN PAINT CORRECTION BE DONE ON VINTAGE CARS WITH SINGLE-STAGE PAINT?

Yes, paint correction is possible on single-stage paint, but it requires special care to avoid removing too much pigment, since these paints do not have a clear coat to provide protection.

IS PAINT POLISHING THE SAME AS BUFFING?

Not exactly. While both use similar techniques, the difference comes down to the grit of the material used to remove defects. Buffing is the more aggressive process, often called cutting or heavy cutting, while polishing uses a finer grit designed to remove micro-abrasions like swirl marks. To achieve the best possible finish, you typically want both. We offer free assessments, so stop in during business hours at 3228 N Nevada Ave, Colorado Springs, CO 80907.

WHAT SHOULD I DO AFTER A CORRECTION?

After a paint correction, it’s strongly recommended to protect the work that was just done with a ceramic coating or paint protection film. Paint correction removes defects and restores clarity, but it does not provide long-term protection on its own, which means your paint is left vulnerable to UV rays, oxidation, road grime, and environmental fallout. A ceramic coating locks in the corrected finish, adds a durable protective layer, makes the vehicle easier to clean, and helps prevent new swirl marks from forming as quickly, keeping your paint looking better for much longer. Without protection, the paint will begin to degrade again, and the benefits of the correction will fade far sooner than necessary. Also you should stop using the drive thru tunnel car washes - as these are the biggest cause for swirls.

WHAT IS A PAINT CORRECTION?

Paint correction is not the process of adding paint or filling in deep scratches. We do not apply new paint during a correction, and we are not covering up damage with fillers or touch-up that would qualify as repainting. Paint correction is the careful leveling of the existing clear coat to reduce or remove surface defects like swirls, light scratches, and oxidation, which improves gloss and clarity using the paint that is already on your vehicle. If damage goes beyond the clear coat and into the color or primer, that requires body shop repair, not paint correction.

I honestly could not believe how amazing my car looked. I came in for a detail and Jay asked if it would be alright if they experimented on my paint. The results were outstanding, I didn't think it could ever look that good again without a paint job. WOW!
